We Love our precious dogs and we want them all to find a good loving home. From the moment they are born we document their growth with photos. We also play with them and handle as much as possible every day. It is important that they arrive at your home with exposure to different people and situations. As they are growing up they get to play with a variety of animals. We have four rescue cats, all indoors, none declawed that are always playing with the puppies as soon as they are able to. We also allow our adult and puppy Chihuahuas and Mastiffs to play together.

Then we throw in the true test, our nieces and nephews come over and play, play, play with them until they all drop from exhaustion. It is amazing how they become such fast friends. You can see some photos of them all playing and living together by clicking on this link: "Money can buy Love" Each dog goes home with a history and photos plus shot records and proof of AKC registration. During the hot summer months we keep the little ones indoors with us during the heat. Yes, we have to follow them around and clean up. No carpet where they play. We work hard to make them comfortable using the paper and going outside. As much as is possible with the very young, we prepare them for their new homes and families.

When your puppy finds you, we believe you will be delighted with him or her. We treasure the time with them and we would love to hear your happy puppy stories. Please feel free to send us your thoughts and yes, we would love to get photos of them too. You can send them to Dana at info@azfl.com Paws Up! It is an Amazing world. Below are some letters from happy homes.

This is a letter from a puppy owner to an associate of hers.

Dear Shirley,

I spoke to you in January when I was looking for a Chihuahua puppy. I had found a breeder named Dana Pakos from West End Farms (www.westendfarms.com) and wondered if you had heard of her. You said you had not but that you would like to know my experiences so that you could recommend her. Well, I wanted to follow up with you and recommend that you refer people to Dana without hesitation.

On 2/5/08, I brought home a 14-week-old female (adorable) long-haired, cream-colored Chihuahua puppy. Her parents and siblings were on site. Dixie came with a pictorial history going back to the hour she was born, a little diary of her progress and immunizations, a toy that she had played with, and a written health guarantee. I named her Dixie, after my first dog who passed away years ago. Dixie was adjusted and playful from the start. She loves all animals and people, probably due to her socialization at the breeder's. After I had Dixie a few months, I began to think about getting her a playmate Chihuahua, and decided that it was better to do that while she was still a puppy and could grow up with the new puppy. So, earlier this month, I brought home 18 week old Chloe, who is a short-haired cream Chihuahua, and, Dixie's half sister. (They have the same father.) The two girls wrestle until they wear each other out, and then fall asleep side by side. I can see that Dixie will be much happier with a playmate her size. I've enclosed a picture of the pups. I'm so proud of them. I also want to let you know that they came to me paper trained and with AKC papers.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know so that you can add Dana to your referral list.

Thanks,

Beth Lockhart
